JULY Suggested Quick Letter to the Editor of the La Crosse Tribune

Ron Malzer, LCDP Communications Team

Re-elect Tony Evers & Josh Kaul to advocate for sensible gun restrictions.”:

You can use the five bullet points below as a starting point, in any order. Make it your own by adding a personal touch. Do not write anything longer than 250 words; that’s the most the La Crosse Tribune will print.

You can then email it to the La Crosse Tribune; see below.

If you would like someone to proof-read or assist, send your draft by email to Ron Malzer, Chair of the La Crosse County Democratic Party Communications Team: ronsaturday@gmail.com

Suggested Title: Evers & Kaul Support Sensible Gun Laws

Five Points to Consider Including in your Letter to the Editor:

  1. America is in the midst of a horrible wave of mass shootings.
  2. Democrats believe that assault rifles should not be available to the public.
  3. Ron Johnson has advocated strongly for background check loopholes, so that those with a violent history can bypass the background checks.
  4. Republican candidates and office-holders get money from the National Rifle Association (NRA), and the NRA gets much of its money from gun manufacturers.
  5. We need to re-elect Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul so that our safety is protected; the flow of guns to people with a violent history must be stopped.
