2025 Resolution & DPW Constitutional Amendment Process
Resolutions are the Democratic Party of Wisconsin’s statement of ideals and goals. Any county party can vote to send resolutions to the 3rd CD Convention. Resolutions will be read at the February Member meeting on Monday, February 17 and discussed and voted on at the April Member Meeting, Monday, March 17. Resolutions must be submitted to the Party by Sunday, February 16. Submit resolutions to chair@laxdems.com.
A few things to remember:
Resolutions MUST be 100 words or less.
Resolutions should be titled. The title does not count towards the word count.
County Parties may submit up to 10 resolutions to the CD Conventions.
Resolutions are good for four years. Below are the resolutions from 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Please ensure any new resolution is not already in effect from a prior year’s election.
DPW Constitutional Amendment Process
Article 9 of the Constitution outlines the process in which County Parties and any permanent committee of the Party may submit proposed amendments of the WisDems Constitution to the standing Constitution & Bylaws Committee through the State Party for consideration at state convention. These proposed amendments must be received by the state party at least 90 days before convention, Sunday, March 16th 2025. Any amendments to the DPW Constitution will need to be voted on at the February Member meeting on Monday, February 17th. Submit any amendments by Sunday, February 16 to chair@laxdems.com.
